Ashley C. Emerole is a native New Yorker. The daughter of Nigerian immigrants, her family’s first apartment was on Saunders Street in Rego Park, Queens. Saunders Street Capital is a tribute to her parent’s pioneering and hardworking background. An entrepreneur at heart, Ashley had a t-shirt company devoted to her love of ABBA and Swedish culture in high school, charged at the door of her college parties, and consulted for startups while in business school. Most recently, Ashley was a media and telecom investment banker at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Prior to her career as a banker, Ashley worked for the City of New York in criminal justice budgeting and policy and as an adjunct professor at CUNY John Jay College. She received an MBA from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, a Masters in Urban Planning from CUNY Hunter College and a Bachelors in Geography from the University of Arizona. She lives in New York with her wife, daughter and two cats and loves half marathons, officiating weddings, and learning to DJ.
